For those that recall it, I used to run a comic known as "The Wounded" about a year ago. I just received a message in my inbox asking if there will be more and it has come to my attention that I have not yet published my final decision regarding this story.
No, The Wounded is not over, however, it will be a very long time before pages come out again and here's why:
The Wounded was something I started working on long before I got the nerve to start drawing it whether I was good at art or not and I'm glad I did; if you look at the first page compared to the last one that was released it's obvious that it taught me a few things about comic making and art in general. Because of that, because I have worked so hard to flesh out each character and their and the overall story line I am not yet willing to give it up but I want to give it the presentation it deserves.
Which is why, in the future, when I deem that my art skills are decent enough it will return as a full professionally run comic for my career (currently I am in my final year of Graphic Design, graduating this spring) as well as have more time. Its story line will also be better as, originally, all the characters were human which I have also gotten over my fear of and started drawing although the mythology behind canines is still a very large part of the story and it doesn't work without it.
The short introduction of the comic you saw was more or less a test in my eyes; it was a test to see if I wanted comic making to be a part of my career and to see if people were interested enough in the story line to want to read it. And for both questions yes it was.
I can't say when the comic will return but I have devoted too much to it to let it go which is why I have made it my life goal to see it put into production even to just sell on my own.
Thank you all for the support - couldn't have done it without you!
P.S: you might still see pictures of Cut and crew around every so often!
